The Idea

As a game developer, it all started again around Christmas 2024 when the idea came up to create a simple little game for mobile using Unity3D to promote the new company H2My.

After a few weeks of development, I realized that my love for strategy games like Anno and Settlers ... was awakening in me and that I could make more of the game. As you might have guessed, it did become more. So far, it's become a fantastic logistics game using electricity and hydrogen. Eight missions have already been created, and there are plans for many more.

Now I want to put together a small development team so that the game can be largely completed by the end of the year, with new and additional futures. The game will be expanded over the next few years and made playable on many devices (Mac, Windows and Linux desktop, phones and tablets, as well as consoles such as Xbox, PS4/PS5, and Switch).

Thanks to my many years of experience in the gaming industry (since 1998, https://www.szonngames.com/history), not least my participation in "Gamescom Brasil" in São Paulo last year (2024) (https://www.szonn.com/en/events), I have an extensive portfolio of game development studios that ensure support for rapid further development.

H2My - Energy will become a global supplier of modules and components for hydrogen production.

We want to support and train future H2 farmers worldwide with our know-how, services, and products. With us, it will be possible for anyone, like a farmer, winemaker, or biogas operator, to start and successfully operate a H2 farm. H2 is the key to the energy future and an important energy carrier in industry, aerospace, aviation, the military, and in the future also for private households and heat supply.

H2My will also become a service provider for the coordination, planning, realization, and implementation of H2 plants of various sizes and characteristics for a scalable energy supply (including PV systems and wind power).

There are currently 8 missions in the game.

 

 

Game expansion and goal of this campaign

To make the game more exciting for some players, the idea is that sabotage squads are sent through the game, which can be repelled with defensive units to ensure logistics and supply.

★ Supply of industrial facilities, means of transport, and missile stations (space travel)
★ Logistics by truck, aircraft, and ship
★ Detailed display of logistics and commodity management
★ Detailed display of electricity and hydrogen statistics (schemes/diagrams)
★ Manual city construction: residential and commercial buildings and supply lines
★ City AI: Buildings in the city build themselves when enough energy is available
★ Gameplay with sabotage attacks – defensive measures
★ E-Methane/E-Fuel (H₂ & CO₂) production
★ Representation of industrial facilities: steel construction, district heating, and CO₂ production
★ 2-3 assembly vehicles
★ Mulitiplayer with 4 players

 

Another 18 missions for summer/fall/xmas.

 

 

Stretch Goals

Since we also love network play, the game will be playable in multiplayer if the pledge exceeds € 40.000,--

In multiplayer mode, each player receives sabotage squads and defense units with buildings.

Investment

We expect a total investment of €250,000 to be sufficient for completion.

€115,000 has already been required and provided, and a further €135,000 will be invested for development and marketing over the next 10 months.

If this campaign is a success, we can make the game great and multifaceted with your help. If you include your advertising (on a billboard or as a building), it will also bring you great success (even in the long term). The campaign is intended to support funding. With mini-payments (small in-app purchases of €1.75 – €7.00), such as "no advertising" and "one-time payments" of virtual coins, we aim to ensure support for the coming years, as we have already successfully done with our other games.

Your advertising or company will also be featured in promotional videos on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. The advertising is limited to two years until further notice. We may have to comply with existing global legal regulations, as far as we are aware and able. The advertising is not fixed to a specific object; it rotates (not randomly) on different game objects, such as a bus, train, billboard, building, container, truck, van, etc.

Normally only for 1 year, but here, only here, you get a 50% discount during this campaign.

The ads will appear on banners in rotation, similar to those in a football stadium or at a handball match. They change every 15-30 seconds and show all the objects and vehicles in the game. Your ad should be sent to us in three sizes, as the objects and vehicles vary in size.

Therefore, it may be of interest to you: the more rewards (advertisements) you book, the more frequently your advertising will appear.

The game will also be offered to educational institutions (schools and universities) to promote playful learning about renewable energy and the understanding of energy. We plan to update, maintain, and support the game for at least 10 years. We currently keep our games playable on existing systems for 10-15 years (assuming the system remains on the market and the engines continue to evolve).
